Machining & Tolerance
Generally, switch neodymium magnets must be machined with diamond-grinding techniques. Sometimes, machining operations may be performed on switch magnet materials with carbide tools, but surface finishes for NdFeB magnet switch are not good enough. Standard tolerances for NdFeB magnets are +/- 0.1 mm, but stricter tolerances are required in specific applications.
Surface Treatments
Corrosion resistance of switch neodymium magnets is not strong. Therefore, surface coating or plating is needed for NdFeB switch magnets. All kinds of surface coating are available, like nickel, zinc, Ni-Cu-Ni, gold, silver, stannum, chrome, etc. We also applied special surface protection to NdFeB magnets, like ABS coating (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymers), rubber coating, PTFE (Telfon) coating, stainless steel case, etc.
Package
We package cargoes in standard specification. It can prevent switch neodymium magnets from being broken because of vibration in shipment. During delivery, switch magnets should be placed in dry environment.
